COOKIES

Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) sent by the Website and stored by your browser in the device you use (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and contain information that can be reused when navigating the Website, even days later. Cookies are stored according to User’s preferences.

With the introduction of HTML5, different forms of local storage and similar technologies are available, such as web beacons, tracking pixels and clear GIFs, which can be used to collect information regarding the behavior, choices and use of the services by the User.

TYPES OF COOKIES

A distinction exists between two macro-categories of cookies:

Technical or Session Cookies

They are essential for the regular functioning of the Website and are used to manage the login and access to the specific functions of the Website. The duration of regular cookies is strictly limited to the working session (they are deleted once the browser is closed).

Other cookies — whose exclusive function is recognizing, for a limited period, the User’s computer/device with an alphanumeric code generated following the first login session — will remain installed for a longer period of time. Their deactivation affects the use of the services accessible via login. The publicly accessible part of the Website remains usable.

Technical or Session cookies also include the so-called “Analytics Cookies”, but only if these are used in aggregate form to collect and analyze Users’ traffic, and anonymously monitor the performance and use of the site. Although these cookies do not identify the User, they make it possible to detect if the same user logs in at different times. In addition, they allow the monitoring of the Website’s system to improve its performance and usability. These cookies can be deactivated without any loss of functionality. The use of these cookies is permitted even without the User’s consent.

Profiling Cookies

These are permanent cookies used to collect User’s preferences, even without identification, and to improve the browsing experience by creating specific profiles, and by sending advertising messages based on the User’s navigation.

Pursuant to art. 122, para. 1 of Legislative Decree 196/03 and subsequent amendments (“Code on the Protection of Personal Data”), Profiling Cookies can only be used if the User has given consent after reading and accepting the information provided pursuant to Art. 13 of the Regulation, available here: xxxxx

THIRD PARTIES COOKIES

By visiting a website Users can receive cookies both from the site itself (“Owners”) and from sites managed by other organizations (“Third Parties”). Treatment of information collected by Third Parties is governed by their own privacy policies, to which reference is made.

The Website may use some Third Parties Cookies named “pixels or beacons”, used by the most popular social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or YouTube, or other social networks. These cookies allow third parties to collect data on Users’ visits of the Website and to interact with them directly on their favorite social media platforms. The Association will not share any navigation information or user data acquired through the Website with any social media platform.

DURATION OF COOKIES

Some cookies (Session Cookies) only remain active until the User closes his browser or logs out from the Website. Other cookies “survive” the browser’s termination and remain available on subsequent visits by the User. These are called Persistent Cookies and their duration is determined by the server when they are created. In some instances, a deadline is set, in other instances the duration is unlimited. With the exception of cookies whose information is stored exclusively for technical purposes, the Association’s Website uses Persistent Cookies for technical and preference purposes.

COOKIES MANAGEMENT

The User can decide which cookies he is willing to accept or not through:

· The banner displayed when accessing the Association’s Website;

· The browser settings.

Users can use specific settings for different websites and applications. The browser’s Options Menu allows Users to manage and determine whether to accept or remove certain types of cookies. Please be aware that if you decide to completely disable cookies in your browser, the use of all or some of the interactive features may be affected and/or limited. Access to public content is allowed even by disabling cookies. Disabling “Third Party” cookies does not affect the use and navigation of the Website in any way.
