Iginio Straffi

Iginio Straffi's artistic career took off at a young age, first as a comic book writer for major publishers, including Sergio Bonelli, then working on animation projects for international studios in France and Luxembourg.

In 1995, he returned to Italy to found Rainbow in Loreto, in the Marche region, which he now chairs and serves as CEO.

His small animation studio grew year after year to become a well-structured and globally recognized group that currently includes Rainbow, Rainbow CGI, Tridimensional, Bardel Entertainment, and Colorado Film, of which Straffi is president.

A tireless creative force, Straffi develops and distributes animated and live-action productions for TV, cinema and streaming platforms, while also overseeing licensing and the development of merchandising, editorial and multimedia products related to Rainbow and licensed properties. He is the creator of the hit series Winx Club, a cultural phenomenon and one of the most iconic brands in the entertainment industry.

The recipient of numerous national and international awards for his work, and an honorary degree in Economics and Management from the Polytechnic University of Ancona, Straffi is constantly on the lookout for new creative challenges, and over the years he has led Rainbow's expansion on all fronts with remarkable results, being named one of the 500 most influential managers in the media industry by Variety Magazine in 2018.
